Bobby Shore gave Oklahoma the second consecutive complete game performance Saturday afternoon. He pitched nine complete innings, facing 36 batters, allowing 8 hits but surrendering just one run. That run came in the bottom of the 9th inning with the Sooners comfortably in control 7-0 over San Diego.
Now the Sooners are set to play their stiffest competition to this point of the season when they take on #14 Cal this afternoon in the USD Tournament. The Bears will be throwing lefty Justin Jones who is 1-0 on the season with a 1.93 ERA and the Sooners will be sending Burch Smith to the mound. Smith is also 1-0 and has a 2.45 ERA.
First pitch is scheduled for 3:00 PM (CST).
