OU DT Stacy McGee has unfortunately become the 2nd OU player arrested this offseason.

Cue texass fan and all the OU haters.  According to the Norman Police Department, OU junior defensive tackle Stacy McGee was cited and released for misdemeanor possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia Sunday.  Per the police report, McGee was driving on East Lindsey Street shortly after 5 pm was pulled over by Norman police.  The officer spotted one joint of marijuana and a marijuana grinder.

McGee has now become the second (or third depending on your judgment of Tony Jefferson) Sooner to get into legal trouble this offseason.  In my opinion, McGee just guaranteed himself a spot in Stoops' doghouse and a seat on the bench for the 2011 season opener.  At a spot where OU needs guys to step up, this is not the ideal way to earn a spot in the DT rotation.  As in all of these types of situations, he's just a kid who obviously made a mistake but it's still more than a little disappointing.  Hopefully he'll learn from it as I'm quite certain what expect he is about to endure will be a fitting physical punishment in addition to however the courts choose to handle it.  McGee isn't the first and very likely not the last and serves as a good reminder for this OU fan to not be quite so quick to throw a stone at a rival before taking care of business in our own house first.
