OU Recruiting - 2012 verbal commit WR Durron Neal senior season highlights

While much of the talk has been about Durron Neal's in-state counterpart, Dorial Green-Beckham, Neal put together one of the more impressive senior seasons and led his DeSmet (MO) team into the playoffs like a man possessed. As you can clearly see in the highlights above, Neal is incredibly talented and in any other year would easily considered to be the best prospect in the state. As it is, he's the #2 ranked player in the state of Missouri and the #7 overall WR in the 2012 class by both Rivals and 247 Sports.

Given the lack of depth the Sooners will be bringing back in 2012 at the wide receiver position, there is an excellent chance Neal could contribute as a true freshman. Both at wideout and in the return game where he clearly displays a unique ability to make guys miss in space and the speed to take it to the house. With the ability to play both inside at the slot as well as on the outside, he'll have ample opportunities to make an impact for the OU offense in 2012.
