The ridiculously early "Bracketology" includes your Oklahoma Sooners?

Oh yeah, that's right.

Is it idiotic to do a "bracketology" a month into the season? Sure. Is it ridiculous to think a lot could change between now and March Madness? Um, no. Is it incredibly exciting to even think this OU basketball team could actually make the NCAA tournament after Jeff Capel ran this program into the ground only to have Lon Kruger come in and in just over a month show what a real basketball coach looks like? You bet your you know what it is!!!

No doubt, it's VERY early but prior to the season most OU b-ball fans were just hoping for a modest improvement both on the court and in the win column. I'm quite sure Coach Kruger would be the first one to tell you to temper your excitement just a bit before we even get into conference play. But this OU team is playing incredibly well and is not void of talent like many might have assumed before this season started. The Big 12 has some good teams, but none that appear to be absolutely loaded or unbeatable, even for this Sooners squad. Mind you, I'm not saying we're winning the league or anything but we will jump up and surprise some of these teams favored to win the conference.

Kruger and the Sooners will play Saturday night in OKC at the annual All-College Classic against the Houston Cougars. The game tips at 7pm (central) and will be broadcast on ESPiNU. If you're not already watching this team, I'd strongly encourage you to tune in. If you're as dismayed with the OU football season as I was, this feel good b-ball team could go a long way towards helping you move past the disappointment of 9-3. I know it's helped me.

BOOMER SOONER!!! OU basketball is alive and well!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
