Friday Locks: WooHoo A Good Week!

New, 1 comment

We'd like to give a big shout out to Sooner Legends Inn and Suites for sponsoring our pick'em contest this season and thus bringing about the idea of our Friday Locks. Contrary to normal we had a pretty good week last week going 5-1. Check out our picks this week after the jump and let us know who you would lock.

Last Week: 2-0

 Season 14-8

   Stanford   (-18.5) vs. California

Stanford is at home and angry after losing pretty badly on a national stage last week.  After the loss, I think they send a message and Cal is the unfortunate casualty.  Boise State (-18) @ San Diego State  Another team coming off a loss that will have to win and do so convincingly to avoid losing any more sway with voters.  IMO, that's a recipe for Boise to run it up and win big on the road.
Last Week: 1-1 Season: 11-11

       Texas Tech (+18) vs Missouri

The Red Raiders have slumped after beating OU. However, Missouri is losing a major contributor to it's offense. Texas Tech still has a decent passing defense and I am not confident Mizzou can ride the arm and legs of James Franklin to a near 3 TD win. I'll take the Red Raiders on this one without a doubt.

    Houston (-20) vs SMU

With the numbers Case Keenum is putting up it is hard not to like this matchup. I expect Keenum to continue what he has started and lead this team to a multiple TD lead early in the second half. The most productive offense in the nation has nothing in it's way that will stop it. Cougs win big.

Last Week: 2-0     Season: 9-13
Wisconsin       (-14.5) at Illinois
The Badgers are averaging 46.5 points per game this season. Illinois will due little to disrupt that. I'm taking Wisconsin to cover.  Kansas State (+ 8.5) at Texas Alright, I'll take the bate here. At one point this week the line was actually 9.5. I expect the WIldcats to win straight up but at the worst they'll cover the spread.
