Oklahoma last played Cincinnati during the 2008 season resulting in a 52-26 thumping by the Sooners. It was a Heisman season for Sam Bradford who found a brand new target to throw to that afternoon.
Ryan Broyles caught seven passes for 141 yards and a touchdown in his Sooner debut while Oklahoma's trigger man, Sam Bradford, connected on 29 of his 38 passes for 295 yards and 5 touchdowns. OU running backs DeMarco Murray, Chris Brown and Mossis Madu averaged 5.9, 4.7 and 3.2 yards per carry as they ran over the Cincinnati defense for a combined 194 yards.
Defensively, Travis Lewis and Jeremy Beal led the charge with 12 and 10 tackles. The duo also combined for three sacks with Lewis recording two of them. Lendy Holmes and Dominique Franks each recorded an interception and as a whole the Oklahoma defensive secondary broke up three other passes.
