Sooners Back Up To 7th In AP Poll

As the momentum of the pendulum swings the other way, the Oklahoma Sooners have moved back up to the 7th spot in this week's AP Top 25 College Football Poll. The Big 12 actually owns the six, seven and eight spots in the poll as Texas, Oklahoma and Nebraska are the only ranked teams from the conference.

Someone is still trying to make a statement by giving the Longhorns a first place vote. I don't really care that Texas is ranked ahead of Oklahoma (I have them ahead of the Sooners in the BlogPoll) because in a few weeks that'll be settled one way or the other. However, if you give a team that has the nation's 72nd passing offense, 44th rushing offense, 39th scoring offense and is 17th in scoring defense, after just two games against Rice and Wyoming, a first place vote then the only statement that you're making is that you're not qualified to vote in the AP Top 25.

See the poll after the jump.
