Sooners Complete 2010 Football Schedule

Oklahoma will kickoff the 2010 football season on September 4th with a home game against Utah State. Then they'll start a brutal stretch of six consecutive games against teams that played in bowls following last season including two teams that made appearances in BCS bowls. In all the Sooners will play nine 2009 bowl teams in 2010.

"We have assembled a schedule that is representative of our tradition. It features intriguing intersectional games as well as the always rigorous Big 12." - Joe Castiglione

Utah State should Oklahoma's 800th win as a program, making the Sooners just the eighth college football program to accomplish 800 wins. The Florida State game will give Oklahoma the opportunity to set a new school record consecutive sellouts with 70. Coincidentally it will also be Bob Stoops 70th game as Oklahoma's football coach.

Its definitely a better home schedule than last year with Utah State, Florida State and Air Force but there is a drawback to it. The season starts with three consecutive home games to start the season the Sooners will only play in Norman three times after September 18th.
