In the final Coaches' Poll leading into the final BCS standings the Big 12 Champion Oklahoma Sooners moved up one spot to #8. It doesn't really matter though because Oklahoma determined their own fate by winning the Big 12 Championship last night and are BCS bowl bound regardless of the rankings. Making a new appearance in this week's poll is Hawaii, at #25, which means that the Big East champion UConn Huskies are left out of the Top 25.

This just further advances my theory that the Orange Bowl is going to pick Stanford and leave the Huskies for the Fiesta Bowl. I understand fans traveling and all of that but the big dollars in these BCS bowls are found in the number of television viewers so why in the world would the Orange Bowl Committee try and sell a national television audience on a match-up between the ACC champion and an unranked team when they don't have to?
