I doubt I'm alone in my belief that preseason polls are generally pretty pointless. Even more than the polls released during the season, preseason polls are rampant with bias/agendas/stupidity. And despite that fact, they still hold a certain degree of relevance because they establish a "base" ranking that some teams have to fight to overcome throughout the season. So take this "ranking" with a big ol' grain of salt, but Nationalchamps.net has already released their 10th annual ridiculously early bird college football poll. As the headline gave away, OU checks in at #1 and if this poll is anywhere close (doubtful) to accurate then OU's schedule in 2011 figures to be another difficult one.
Five of OU’s 2011 opponents are also ranked: No. 8 Missouri, No. 10 Texas A&M, No. 11 Oklahoma State, No. 18 Florida State and No. 25 Tulsa.
If you dare, check out the rest of the rankings after the jump.
