NCAAF Week One Big 12 Games
North Dakota State 17,34 – Quick, someone take a photo the Cyclones are a game up on everyone in the conference! Seems like I remember getting a bunch of emails from Bison fans saying that they were going to win that game. Iowa State
Baylor at
– I have a lot of interest in this game because I have the Bears pegged as a bowl team this year and in order for that to happen they’ve got to be able to win games such as this. Wake Forest
Georgia at– Definitely the game of the week in the Big 12. This will go a long way in the ongoing Big 12 vs. SEC debates. Oklahoma State
Missouri/Illinois – I’m very curious to see what the Tigers look like as they enter into a new era of football.
New Mexico at Texas A&M – Both teams only won four games last season and are looking for significant improvement this year. Someone’s going to get started on the wrong foot.
LA
Monroe at– Yawn! Texas
North Dakota atTech – Captain Leach, please keep the score under 100. Texas
Florida Atlantic at– The Huskers should walk out of this with a win but not before being tested. Nebraska
N Colorado at
– Yawn! Kansas
UMass at
– The Wildcats aren’t a very good team, or at least at this time it appears that way. Keep an eye on this one. Kansas State
Colorado State/Colorado (9/6) – The Buffs should win this game. The Buffs need to win this game.
When the dust settles this weekend the Big 12 should have a 12-0 record but there are some hinge games that could go either way and being the first weekend of action you just never know.
National Games Of Interest – Week One
at USC – I have interest in this game for only one reason. The Trojans are starting a freshman at quarterback and while San Jose State shouldn’t be a treat to USC we might get an idea of how the offense is going to click under Matt Barkley. San Jose State
at Virginia Tech – I have the Hokies picked to win the ACC and possibly be a BCS sleeper. A win over Bama would go a long way in making this a reality. Alabama
Miami (FL) at– There will be tons of athletic ability on the field in this game but what I’m looking for is how well they’re coached. Florida State Oklahoma is just three weeks away from a road trip to. Miami
