If you were to take a look at Oklahoma’s 2010 recruiting class there’s one position that is noticeable vacant, linebacker. Well, at least it was until Friday when Marshall, Texas linebacker Aaron Franklin verbally committed to the Sooners. As this recruiting class grows (20 strong now) it’s beginning to look more and more impressive on the defensive side of the ball. Franklin becomes the 8th OU commitment with a defined defensive position with at least two others who are listed as athletes but are expected to play defense. He stands at 6-1/206 and has a forty time of 4.5.
Heavily recruited by Big 12 foes, Franklin turned down offers from Baylor, Nebraska, Oklahoma State, Texas, Texas A&M and Texas Tech to become a Sooner.
