The Scoop – What The World Is Saying About Oklahoma

It’s been a while since we’ve run this feature but with football practice cranking up I figure its time to start running it again. Here are the latest headlines, along with a few thoughts, regarding the Sooners.

  • Sooners Number Three In Power Rankings – Fox sports released their 2009 preseason power rankings with Oklahoma checking in at #3. Interesting to me is that they didn’t list the offensive line as a relative weakness seeing as how everyone else is.
  • Here’s a few tidbits on the newly announced series with Army. Don’t know about anyone else but I’m intrigued by it.
  • Sooners Get A C+ For Scheduling – CBS Sports has graded the non conference schedules. Anyone surprised that it’s an SEC Love Fest put out by the network that covers the SEC?
  • Is The Big 12 Lopsided? Harold Bechard takes a good look at the evidence and comes up with the answer. Cant say that I disagree with him.
  • Here’s your Meet the Sooners Day information.
  • Toby Rowland Joins Broadcast Team – I loved Trent Smith as a player but I think he did himself a favor by stepping aside from the sideline reporting duties.
  • Do The Sooners Have To Win A National Championship To Redeem Themselves? This mindset out there that you have to be ashamed for losing the national championship game is insane.
