Julian Wilson Commits To Oklahoma

Julian Wilson became Oklahoma’s 15th commitment on Tuesday when the South Moore star gave his pledge to the Sooners. Listed as a three star athlete by Rivals, Wilson will play either corner or safety at OU. He’s listed at 6-2/172 and runs a 4.4 forty.

"I felt OU was the best school for me," Wilson said. "As soon as I stepped on campus, I felt like that's where I needed to be."

"It's one of the top schools in the country, 15 minutes from home. What's the use of going miles away when I can stay at home, be around my family and still compete for a national championship?"

Last season, as a junior, Wilson caught 21 passes for 265 yards and 3 touchdowns. On the defensive side of the ball he had 43 tackles, 6 pass breakups and a fumble recovery. He also had 286 kick return yards.

Recruited by Cale Gundy and Bobby Jack Wright, Julian Wilson turned down scholarship offers from Arizona, Arkansas, Colorado, Florida, Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska and Stanford to come to Oklahoma.
