Sooners Keep Hot Bats Going Against Wichita State

Oklahoma played their fourth game in a row on the road Wednesday night and won for the third time in that span. Behind solid pitching and explosive bats the Sooners went on the road and blanked Wichita State 15-0.

Garrett Richards struck out six Wichita batters over the first three innings before the Sooners got the bats going in the 4th. J.T. Wise and Aaron Baker both homered in the 4th driving in a total of three runs and Oklahoma the rout was on. OU struck for three more runs in the 5th with the help of a double by Kaleb Herren and a triple by Jamie Johnson. Then in the 7th Baker went yard again, this time driving in three runs. Oklahoma would plate a total of six runs in the inning to push the score to 12-0. Not wanting to take their foot off the gas the Sooners added three more runs in the 8th to get to the final score of 15-0.

The Sooners return home for a weekend series against Texas Tech. Friday night's first pitch is at 6:30 and can be seen in the metro area on Cox channel 7.
