Cornerback Demontre Hurst Could Be Switching Commitment To OU

Four star cornerback recruit Demontre Hurst from Lancaster, Texas committed to play football for Oklahoma State on January 18th but rumors are flying that Oklahoma has now become his choice. Hurst made a visit to OU on the 30th and apparently liked what he saw enough to make him sway a little on his decision.

Another interesting side note in this story is that Oklahoma State is now offering to Midwest City standout Tim Flanders. Flanders made verbal commitment to play for Kansas State today but it could be an indicator that the Cowboys are looking for secondary depth in this recruiting class. Possibly because they know that Hurst is switching his commitment.

Demontre Hurst received offers from Arizona, Michigan, Miami (FL), North Carolina, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Tennessee and Wisconsin. He is listed at 5-11, 170 and recorded 45 tackles, 2 interceptions and 2 kickoff returns for touchdowns in 2008.
