Sooners Add New Basketball Commitment

Oklahoma may have lost out on the Harrison Barnes sweepstakes but that doesn't mean that the week left Jeff Capel empty handed. Oklahoma picked up a commitment from Denison, Texas guard T.J. Taylor.

Taylor is 6-3, 205 lbs and was ranked as the nation's number 91st player for the 2010 class by Rivals. He averaged 27.1 points, 6.1 rebounds, 3.7 assists and 3.0 steals per game last year and has been an All-State pick as well as his districts offensive player of the year the last two seasons.

"T.J. is a strong left-handed guard who can play both guard positions. He's very physical and he can shoot it.  One of my favorite things about him is that he loves to play, he loves to compete." - Jeff Capel

"I think the University of Oklahoma is getting possibly the best guard in Texas.  I think he's going to get even better at the next level." - Former Denison Head Coach Scott Curran

Taylor is Oklahoma's third commitment for the 2010 class joining forwards Cameron Clark and Justin McCay.
