The first AP basketball poll of the season has been released and the Sooners are in at #17. Joining Oklahoma are two other Big 12 schools, indicating that the Big 12 Conference isn't getting much preseason love from the media. Kansas has the #1 ranking and Texas is #3 but after that it's a freefall for the conference until you get to the Sooners at #17. Oklahoma State, Kansas State, Texas A&M and Missouri all received votes but didn't make the Top 25.
