Oklahoma Defeats TCU 35-10

Oklahoma struck early and often in the first quarter, racing out to a 21-3 lead and they never looked back from there with the 35-10 victory over the feisty Horned Frogs of TCU.

Sam Bradford had a field day, throwing for a career high (his third straight game doing that), and third highest in school history, 411 yards and 4 touchdowns.

Manny Johnson broke Mark Clayton's school record with 206 yards receiving and 3 scores.

TCU started the game off with a 75 yard kick return (can we please fix that) but was unable to get the ball in the endzone and settled for a Field Goal. After that TCU was plauged by three straight turnovers and were unable to get on the board until the fourth quarter when Oklahoma was already up 35-3.

Other than the busted kick coverage again, the only thing I can find fault with in this game was the lack of a running game. Only 25 rushing yards by a Bob Stoops coached Oklahoma team seems impossible but that is what TCU was able to do. Moving forward it will be a problem for us if we are unable to establish the run if our pass game isn't clicking like it is now.

Couple this beatdown, with USC, Florida, and Georgia losing means that our Sooners will return to the top of the polls for the first time since 2003. Also by going to the top of the polls means that OU will break their tie with Notre Dame for all time weeks at number 1 with 96.

Next up is Baylor and if we can continue to never lose to them and Texas can defeat Colorado, that sets up a matchup of number 1 Oklahoma taking on another top 5 team in Texas at the Red River Shootout.
