USC Trojans Take Top Spot In AP Poll

The AP Poll is out and USC has taken over as the nation’s top ranked team. The Trojans received just one more first place vote than the Georgia Bulldogs placing them in the top spot by just 33 points. Oklahoma holds its spot as the 4th ranked team and picked up 2 first place votes.

Among teams receiving first place votes the Ohio State Buckeyes came closest to USC and Georgia with 15. Other teams receiving first place votes were Florida (5), Missouri (1) and LSU (1). How anyone could give Missouri a first place vote after their defense surrendered 500-plus yards of offense and 42 points is beyond me. I’m not saying…I’m just saying.
