Well that was easy.
The Sooners used a dominating defensive performance and "hung half a hundred" on the Mocs in the first half as the only thing that slowed them down was the 1 hour and 20 minute half time rain delay.
Sam Bradford went 17-22 for 183 and 2 TD's, while the combination of DeMarco Murray (124 yards, 2 TD's) and Chris Brown (63 yards, 3 TD's) ran all over the clearly overmatched Mocs.
Oklahoma's defense also pitched the shutout while holding the Mocs to only 36 (20 passing & 16 rushing) yards of offense. The lone bright spot for the Mocs was a bad snap on a 3rd quarter punt attempt that put them on the board.
So the Sooners move to 55-2 at home under Stoops and 9-1 in season openers.
Next weeks game against Cincinnati will be a big step up in the competition as they went 10-3 last season in the Big East and are 1-0 on this season.
