OU Baseball Did Well In Tempe

The Oklahoma Sooners won’t be advancing to a Super Regional in baseball but we really didn’t expect them to anyway. In fact, just a week ago we thought the season was over after OU lost a heartbreaker to Texas in the Big 12 Tournament. Turns out we got some bonus baseball that should be an encouragement to valuable experience for this squad next season.

OU turned out to be the second best team in Tempe which really isn’t bad for a team that wasn’t even supposed to be there. They lost twice to a team that will most likely be playing in the College World Series but they did prove their merit.

Oklahoma has to address their pitching issues before next season. There is not only a lack of talent but also a serious lack of depth. If OU gets a boost with their pitching then they should have a turnaround next season. After an 8th place finish in conference OU has nothing to hang their heads about from their trip to Tempe.
