Oklahoma started their spring drills on Wednesday and while their practices were held indoors at the Everest Facility here a just a few quick tidbits that came from the first workout.
Three true freshmen get first workout -- QB Landry Jones, OL Britt Mitchell and RB Justin Johnson all took the practice field for the first time as Sooners. They all three worked out with wide receivers coach Jay Norvell.
Brian Jackson could be a star -- The junior corner took a step in the right direction towards getting on the field and earned some praise from head coach Bob Stoops.
Keenan Clayton is moving from the secondary to linebacker -- Both units need bodies with the absences left behind due to attrition but Clayton has linebacker size (6-1, 220) and secondary speed which makes him a good hybrid linebacker.
