Sooners Get The 6 Seed In The East

The Big Dance is set and the Sooners are going to be playing Saint Joseph's on Friday in Birmingham, Ala. The Sooners are making their 25th NCAA Tournament appearance and 12th in the last 14 years.

Coach Capel had this to say after learning about the Sooners number 6 seed:

"We're really happy, really excited and really anxious to get going. We know who we're playing, we know we're in and we know where we're playing, so we're just excited to get going."

Coach Capel on the opponent, St. Joe's:

"I have a lot of respect for St. Joe's, I've known (Saint Joseph's) Coach Martelli for a while. When I was an assistant for my dad at Old Dominion we played them. That was when Jameer Nelson was a freshman. He's one of the better coaches in the country. They're a hot team right now and they lost a heartbreaker last night. It's going to be a big game for us. We'll be anxious to get going."

This will not be an easy game for the Sooners. Especially if they continue to struggle shooting the ball. I think the Sooners can pull this one out but a 2nd round matchup with either Louisville or god forbid Boise St. awaits.
