Because ESPN Deportes didn't show the OU/Texas Tech game Saturday I didn't get to see it down here in Panama but I do want to thank those of you who left comments about it in the game thread.
Looks like Taylor Griffin had an amazing game doing his best impersonation of little brother Blake. I really liked reading this comment in the post game recap.
"He's an incredible player, and we're going to miss him," said Taylor Griffin, talking about his brother Blake. "It's going to be a lot harder without him. But anything that we can improve on while he's gone is going to make us better when he gets back."
I couldn't agree more. With Blake out and Keith Clark gone from the team Taylor is going to get a lot more playing time than he normally would. The more experience he gats now the better minutes he'll be able to contribute when younger brother is back and healthy.
The thing to keep in mind is that Longar Longar also put in 16 points giving the Sooners a combined 32 points from the big men. This allowed the guards to (Crocker and Godbold) continue to do their thing. It appears, at first glance, that the absence of Blake Griffin wasn't as detrimental as we initially thought. They definitely missed him on the defensive end but offensively things seemed to be clicking.
Of course this is all derived from me reading the box score so if I'm way off please feel free to let me know!
