Game 2 Notes/Open Thread: Miami

New, 6 comments

Another early morning start this morning with kid's soccer at 8:00 and then down to Norman so the game thread goes up now. If you're staying home to watch the game then enjoy the dryness and then make sure to stop by here to leave your thoughts before, during and after the game.

If you're actually going to Norman for the game then bring a poncho and be LOUD!!! Make sure to post your thoughts here before and after the game.

Final Game Notes

Kickoff: 11:00 am
Television: ABC
Ron Franklin, play-by-play
Ed Cunningham, analyst
Jimmy Dykes, sideline
Series History: The Hurricanes own a 3-2 series lead against the Sooners including wins the last three times the teams have met. The last meeting was in the 1987 Orange Bowl where Miami won 20-14.
Fun Fact: From 1985 to 1987 the Oklahoma compiled a 33-3 record. All three of the Sooners losses came at the hands of only one team, the Miami Hurricanes.
Official Crimson and Cream Machine Prediction: I've wavered back and forth on this game but have finally come to a decision. If Oklahoma plays mistake free football it should be a comfortable 24-10 win for the Sooners.

Boomer Sooner!!!

Just for fun here are some highlights from last weekend's romp over North Texas thanks to YouTube.

I'll be back online tonight with post game thoughts and opinions but you don't have to wait until then. Go ahead and leave your thoughts in the comments section now!
