Your Big 12 All Conference Team: Left Guard

You've voted on a quarterback and a center now its time to decide who will play at left guard on our Big 12 All Conference Team. Same drill as usual. Cast your vote in the poll on the right sidebar and then use the diaries to support your vote or question another.


Dan Gay - Baylor
Last Season:
After spending his first two seasons at Baylor as a defensive tackle, Gay moved to offensive guard prior to the start of spring ball and made 10 starts on the right side at his new position as a sophomore ... Played every offensive snap in eight of his 10 2006 starts ... All-told, he played 683 snaps on the year to earn his second Baylor monogram.

Caleb Handy - Kansas State
Last Season:
Was one of the most improved players on the K-State offense... Started the last eight games of the seaosn at guard... Earned his first start of the year against Oklahoma State and started every game after... Appeared in 11-of-13 games overall.

Ryan Madison - Missouri
Last Season:
 Established himself as Mizzou's top left guard (replacing former standout and current Green Bay Packer Tony Palmer) ... Came off the bench in MU's 1st 2 games, but took over as a starter in game #3 and started the last 10 games of the regular season.

George "Duke" Robinson - Oklahoma
Last Season:
All-Big 12 honorable mention by the coaches and Associated Press ... graded at 76% for the season ... top grade was 84% at Oklahoma State ... notched 108 knockdown blocks on the season with a best of 12 against Oregon and Oklahoma State ... had the highest snap count on the line with 809.

Kirk Elder - Texas A&M
Last Season:
Named to the first-team All-Big 12 team at guard after helping the Aggies generate 401.4 yards of total offense per game, including a Big 12-best 210.5 rushing yards per game ... the Aggies' also led the Big 12 in time of possession, third-down conversion percentage and had the fewest turnovers in the conference ... offensive line gave up only 1.4 quarterback sacks per game.
