They say the cream rises to the top but for the state of Texas its Crimson and Cream rising as the top players are heading north to play football for Oklahoma. Of the top four players, ranked on Rivals.com Texas 100, three have committed to be Sooners including the Lone Star State's premier player, running back Jermie Calhoun. Defensive end R.J. Washington and offensive tackle Stephen Good are also ranked top four and heading to play for Stoops as well.

It seems like everyone wants to be a Sooner now days. In fact, if you look further down the Top 25 you'll find three more players, safety Joseph Ibiloye, athlete Justin Johnson, and center Ben Habern heading to Norman as well.

It's not just Texas though. The 2008 recruiting class is coming from all over the country. Currently there are three 5 star players, five 4 star players, and seven three star players among the commitments for 2008. Players like QB Landry Jones from Artesia, NM who was just made Elite 11.
