Oklahoma had their work cut out for them as it was facing the 7th ranked Texas Longhorns but add to it the fact that the Sooners hadn't won in Austin since 1997 and you have an almost impossible situation.
The Sooners were competitive and had their opportunities in Friday's 4-3 loss as and Saturday's 3-1 setback to the Longhorns.
Short stop Aaron Reza was Sunday's hero. His two-run single in the fifth inning put the Sooners up 4-2 and paved the way to stopping the 15 game losing streak in Austin. The consolation from this series, outside of breaking the losing streak, is that Sunday's loss to the Sooners drops Texas out of fist place in the conference standings.
Up next for OU is TCU on Tuesday evening before traveling to Waco for a three game series with the Baylor Bears beginning on Thursday.
