I'm not looking for too much from the transfer of quarterback Chase Wasson from Texas State to Oklahoma this summer. Granted he does have some experience at starting a college football game at the quarterback position but physically he may less impressive than any of the three quarterbacks currently on campus.
All three quarterbacks on the roster right now have the experience of making it through the spring with the Sooners and while Wasson may have actually thrown a touchdown in a college football game he has yet to experience the speed and power of Big 12 football.
The most glaring thing that speaks out against Wasson having a chance to get into the starting mix is the fact that he will be a walk-on and not a scholarship athlete. The way I see it shaping up is that he comes in, runs the scout team, and allows Keith Nichol to redshirt should he not win the starting position.
