The Machine's All Big 12 Team

The Big 12 Conference released their All-Conference selections yesterday and so we thought we'd do the same today from our own perspective. Here are the Big 12 All-Conference selections according to us.

Player of the Year
Kevin Durant (Texas)
Runner Up
Acie Law (Texas A&M)

Offensive Player of the Year
Kevin Durant (Texas): Averaged 25.1 points per game throughout the entire season.
Runner Up
Jarrius Jackson (Texas Tech): Averaged 20.2 points per game throughout the entire season.

Defensive Player of the Year
Marcus Dove (Oklahoma State): The only player in the conference to make Kevin Durant look somewhat human.

Freshman of the Year
Kevin Durant (Texas): Has there ever been a player dominate a conference as a freshman the way Durant has?

Coach of the Year
Rick Barnes (Texas) - The Longhorns finished third in the conference with four freshmen in the starting lineup.

Runner Up
Billy Gillispie (Texas A&M) - The Aggies had a better overall season than the Longhorns but unlike Texas they did it with upper classmen.

New Coach of the Year
Bob Huggins (Kansas State) - Huggins will do for Wildcat basketball what Bill Snyder did for the school's football program.
