OU/KSU Preview - Game Thread

The post title tells the story of the situation. If the Sooners don't win today then the season dies! NCAA tournament hopes went down the drain weeks ago when OU lost at Iowa State. A loss today would significantly drain any hopes of playing in the NIT.

Sooner Scoop
Coming off their most impressive half of the season OU could and should have the ability to be ultra competitive. The problem is that they are facing the Wildcats on their Senior Day and we all know the extra emotion that brings.
Nate Carter could be getting hot again after scoring 20 points against the Jayhawks on Monday night. The Sooners will definitely need him to be a force in Manhattan this afternoon. Longar Longar needs to show up as well. He was held to single-digits in points Monday for the fourth straight game after registering double-doubles in three of the previous four.

Scouting the Wildcats
Cartier Martin scores 16.5 points a game. David Hoskins is averaging 14.7 points, 5.9 rebounds and 2.5 assists a game.  Lance Harris scores 10.5 points and pulls down 3.4 rebounds a game. Clent Stewart and Akeem Wright average 6.5 and 6.4 points, respectively.  Wright also leads the team with 6.1 rebounds a game.

Outlook and Prediction
I don't know how many different ways that we can say this is a must win game for the Sooners. OU understands this and should respond by playing like there is more on the line now then ever before. For that reason I have to with the Sooners 70 - 64.
