No NIT, No Surprise

OU's 64-47 loss to the Kansas Jayhawks on Friday officially marked the end of a frustrating season of Oklahoma basketball. There was never an NIT invite coming and it never should have been a question.

Finishing above .500 is an exceptional feat for a rookie Big 12 coach who only had a bunch of role players to work with and no real superstar or even a point guard. Not making the post season means that better days lie ahead for the OU basketball program.

A solid recruiting class this spring could land Oklahoma the star power they need to bring this team back to prominence. Right Jai Lucas?
