Baseball Earns First Sweep

OU baseball won three games in a row over the weekend for the first time this season. They won in just about every way possible as well. Friday's win was a 1-0 shutout, Saturday's was a 24-4 rout and Sunday's was a 7-6 come from behind win.

The Sooners are now above the .500 mark with their 7-6 record. It seems that OU is playing better ball right now and that the week off has paid dividends for the coaching staff to direct a team that was struggling in both pitching and scoring runs.

The Sooners now are in position to really get things going. They host Wichita State Wednesday and then are home for another weekend series, hosting UC Riverside. They follow that up next week with a two game mid-week series against Creighton.

OU doesn't leave Norman for a game until they head to San Diego for the Aztech Invitational beginning on March 9th.
