Coming off their best performance of the season against Tulsa OU's men's basketball team produced their worst performance of the season resulting in a 66-62 loss to Stephen F. Austin. Who knows what we'll get today against Arkansas today but OU is facing a tough three game stretch and they've had to live with the SFA loss for a week now.
This is a winnable game for the Sooners that will come down to guard play. Arkansas will press OU but the Sooners have seen worse already this season with Memphis. Oklahoma's formula for success is pretty simple. Don't turn the ball over and take advantage of the open shots they'll get as a result of Arkansas' press.
For the Razorbacks guard Patrick Beverley is averaging 12.8 points a game. Forward Darian Townes is scoring 11.4 points per game, grabbing 5.8 rebounds and blocking 2.2 shots per game. Guard Gary Ervin is averaging 10.7 points and 2.6 rebounds a game while Sonny Weems scores 9.4 points and grabs 5.4 rebounds. Finally, Charles Thomas is averaging 8.8 points and 4.6 boards per game.
