This will be a busy basketball week for the Sooners who play Alcorn State tonight as a final tune up before heading to New York to play in the Final Four of the 2K College Hoops Challenge benefiting Coaches vs. Cancer.
Alcorn State is 0-1 on the season after losing to Southeastern Louisiana, 72-54, Friday night. They led by sophomore point guard Troy Jackson who scored 20 points on 10 of 18 shooting.
While the Sooners have been impressive in their first two games of the season they have also, at times, looked very average. Turnovers remain a problem as OU has been in double digits in both games and the Sooners need to work on being more consistent in rebounding and from the free throw line.
Alcorn State provides Oklahoma the opportunity to tune up on all of those areas and develop more of a team chemistry as well. Post your comments here before, during and after tonight's game.
