The Oklahoma men's basketball teams will play their first exhibition game tonight at 7:00 against Rockhurst University in the Lloyd Noble Center. It is the first match-up between the two schools but Rockhurst has been Oklahoma's practice facility for the Big 12 Tournament for the last 10 years when held in Kansas City.
Tonight's game will give Sooner fans a first hand look at the newcomers. Freshman Blake Griffin who was a McDonald's All-American led the team in scoring and in rebounding during Oklahoma's trip to Canada over Labor Day weekend and also leads the new comers in preseason hype. Freshmen Cade Davis and Tony Neysmith will give the Sooners a boost in the backcourt and JUCO transfer Omar Leary, who could be the key at the point guard position, will make his debut after being named to the first team junior college All-American team last season as a sophomore.
Tonight's game isn't televised but can be followed on 1520 AM in Oklahoma City or viewed online at SoonerSports.com if you have an "All-Access" membership. The best thing you could do is go shell out $10.00 and watch the team in person.
