Sam Bradford Added to Maxwell Award List

New, 2 comments

Oklahoma quarterback Sam Bradford continues to impress people around the country with his efficient play. He leads the country in passing efficiency with a rating of 181.15 and has completed 128-of-181 passes for 1,689 yards and 20 touchdowns with only four interceptions.

While winning award for the nation's top college football player is a bit of a stretch for Oklahoma's redshirt freshman just to be on the list is a lot more than any Sooner fan ever expected. It goes without saying that it bodes well for his future.

Last season Texas quarterback Colt McCoy tied the NCAA freshman record by tossing 29 touchdown records. That record stands to fall sometime in the next month as Bradford already has 20 TD tosses with five regular season games left.
