Oklahoma 81 - Longwood 40

The night pretty much went as expected, which was a good thing, as OU routed the outmanned Longwood Lancers 81-40. There was an obvious talent difference on the floor allowing five Sooners to score in double figures.

David Godbold and Longar Longar led the way for OU with 16 points each but Longar was surprisingly soft on the boards tallying only 1 rebound. Nate Cater was stellar again putting up 15 points and he was followed by Tony Crocker and Taylor Griffin who scored 11 and 10 points respectively.

Everyone on the bench played tonight as the Sooners coasted by dominating every category. OU won the points in the paint 52-25, points off turnovers 28-7, second chance points 16-4, fast break points 12-5 and bench points 37-22.

There really isn't much you can take away from a non-conference game against a lower tier opponent at this point of the season. You can measure effort which was intense as normal for Jeff Capel's team and the Sooners did what they were supposed to do by running the Lancers out of the gym.

The game wasn't televised so if you weren't there you missed a fantastic dunk by Tony Crocker and a buzzer beating three point shot to end the first half by Chris Walker.
