With the baseball season starting Friday the Sooners were dealt a serious blow this past week. Shortstop Aaron Reza broke his glove hand, left, this week in practice and will have to set the first 4-6 weeks of the season.
Not sure just yet who will start in place of Reza and while the options aren't bleak they also aren't as experienced as Reza who is beginning his junior season. Reza started 56 games for OU last season committing only one error and batting .318 with 33 RBI's.
Freshman Bryant Hernandez and junior college transfer Vincent Biancamano are the two most likely replacements at shortstop.
