Oklahoma's Reggie Smith earned Big 12 Player of the Week honors for his performance on special teams. Smith returned a punt 61 yards for a touchdown against Middle Tennessee State and averaged 22.6 yards a return for the night.
Running back Marlon Lucky of Nebraska was the offensive player of the week and defensive end Tim Crowder of Texas earned the defensive award.
