THE DISH ON UT ARLINGTON
The Mavericks are currently on a three game losing streak but they haven't played in twelve days. They are 3-4 on the season and are shooting .497 from the field, .331 from 3-point range and .628 from the free throw line. Their opponents are shooting .439 from the floor and .345 from beyond the arc.

Forward Anthony Vereen leads the Mavericks in scoring with 14.1 points a game and ranks second on the team with 5.9 rebounds. He is shooting .630 from the field and gets to the free throw line for 5.7 attempts per game. Opposite Vereen is forward Jermaine Griffin who averages 12.1 points and a team-high 6.1 boards per game while shooting .729 from the field (35-for-48). Guard Rodrick Epps contributes 11.0 points and 3.0 assists a game while freshman guard Ro'ger Guignard averages 8.9 points and a team-high 3.3 assists. Guignard has made a team-high 15 three point shots on the year and is shooting .357 from beyond the arc.

WHAT THE SOONERS MUST DO

Oklahoma must take care of the ball! Turnovers have plagued this team all season and the problem doesn't seem to be getting better. In last week's win over Coppin State the Sooners turned the ball over 18 times. You may be able to win against Coppin State with that line but you won't against any Big 12 schools.

Continue to get the ball inside to Longar Longar. He is only going to get better with touches and seems to soar with confidence in games like this. We need that confidence to grow against stronger competition.

Create opportunities. Oklahoma is a good free-throw shooting team. There problem has been getting to the line. They need to become more aggressive in drawing the fouls.

More playing time for Bobby Maze. The Sooners outscored Coppin State 22-9 with Maze in the game last week. The should at least earn him more significant time tonight for another look.

I feel like a broken record but with the schedule about to become more difficult the Sooners have to win games like this. UTA will try to run on Oklahoma but just on athleticism alone this should be a another Sooner victory.

The Machine Predicts - 67-49 OU. BOOMER SOONER!!!
