First of all there are two great Nebraska Corn Huskers blogs out there that we plan on sharing some blog time with this week. Corn Nation is the Nebraska SBN site and Big Red Network offers a variety of Husker news and views.
Big 12 Championships
This is the fifth time in the last seven seasons that Oklahoma has represented the South in the Big 12 Championship Game. They won the title in 2000, 2002 and 2004 and lost to Kansas State in 2003. As you can see even numbered years have been good to Oklahoma.
Nebraska has won the Big 12 Championship twice (1997, 1999) but this is their first trip to the game since the turn of the century.
The Rivalry
Saturday's game will be the 83rd meeting between the two schools. The Sooners have a two game winning streak and a 42-37-3 series advantage.
