How good is Adrian Peterson? Even though there is a good chance we won't see him again during the regular season he has been named as a semifinalist for the Maxwell Award given to the nation's top college football player.
"While we recognize that Adrian is unable to play at this time, we felt that he was deserving of being on this list as one of the top players in college football, " said Mark Wolpert, Maxwell Club Senior Vice President for Collegiate Awards.
Even though he missed last week's Colorado game, Peterson still ranks No. 3 nationally in rushing with 155.8 yards per game. He is No. 1 in all purpose yards at 204 per game and No. 4 in scoring at 11 points per game.
