"Tisdale will be buried Thursday, after a public memorial service at the downtown BOK Center, a venue that holds about 18,000. He died Friday at 44.
Before Wednesday's public viewing, some people sat on car bumpers and paced sidewalks for more than two hours before the church doors opened. Nearby streets were clogged with cars.
Mourners came from Tulsa, from Fort Worth, Texas, and Conway, Ark., among other places.
They dressed in Converse sneakers and wing-tips, two-piece suits and basketball jerseys and formed a line dozens strong down the block. Hundreds were expected by afternoon's end, church directors estimated." - Tulsa, Okla. (AP)
I was sad reading this news in the local paper today. Tisdale was a great player and a good guy (at least in the way he carried himself in his public life on and off the court). Prayers go out to his folks. GO BRUINS.
