"We're very optimistic," Stoops said. "Both guys (Sunday) tested out very well. This morning, same thing. They're actually going to do some limited work today. We feel very optimistic that they'll be ready to play."
It was a fast 90 minutes of internet radio as JTE and I discussed the weekend of college football that put Oklahoma at the top. Here's a list of our discussion topics. "You can’t replace No. 33," Arnaud said of Robinson. "He is so knowledgeable in this offense. He is a vital tool for this offenses’ progress, but when you have young guys like Shontrelle (Johnson), Jeff (Woody) and James (White), who will get a bunch of significant snaps this week in practice, too, I bet, it helps."
Again, we'd like to say thanks for making last Sunday night's episode our most listened to and most popular show to date. Sunday night we were back at it (After taking Thursday off) discussing BCS contenders and pretenders as well as our Heisman front runners. In addition we addressed the following issues as the Sooners prepare to take on Iowa State. •Does a healthy Austin Box now mean less of Tom Wort or a return to the 4-3? •Should Roy Finch redshirt or do we want to see him on the field again this season? Where does that put Brennan Clay? •Run down of Oklahoma's remaining schedule. Where are the trap games? You can listen to or download the show with the link below or find us on iTunes. That's the rumor being floated out there by NewsOK curmudgeon writer Berry Tramel. This utterly ridiculous and clearly another shining example of how pathetic print media has become. To even suggest this calls into question his credibility and while he says he thinks it is "silly" that sure didn't stop him from printing it.
If there is even a hint of truth to this, I just got even more excited about the upcoming games in Dallas. I knew they were dumb down in Austin, but doing something like this would force the powers that be to create a new word just to describe their stupidity.
As much as I love my Sooners I just can't think of a single thing I saw on the field Saturday that would make me think that they're worthy of a first place vote. Let alone two!
Tew, a first-team preseason all-Mountain West pick who rushed for 970 yards last year, is still undergoing tests, but he might have a broken bone in the back of his hand.
Here's the second part of the Tomahawk Nation game preview. Really good and in depth.
Here's a fantastic preview done by Tomahawk Nation on this weekend's game!
