Not only were the Jayhawks a #1 seed, they were the overall top seed in the dance and the #1 team in the country. Ali Farokhmanesh scored 16 points to help lead the 9th seeded Northern Iowa Panthers, of the Missouri Valley Conference, past the Jayhawks 69-67.
