Willie Warren Done For Regular Season - Can't Say We Didn't See This Coming

"Won’t play Saturday. Won’t play Monday. Probably won’t play next Saturday," OU coach Jeff Capel announced before practice. The Sooners host No. 24 Baylor Saturday, travel to No. 21 Texas Monday night, then finish their regular season against No. 22 Texas A&M March 6. Any chance Warren could return for the Big 12 tournament beginning March 10? "Maybe," Capel replied. At least OU has gotten used to Warren’s absence. Rock Chalk Talk Previews Oklahoma At Kansas

Oklahoma looks to snap a four-game losing streak after its 83-68 loss to No. 7 Kansas State Saturday. OU averages 73.3 points and gives up 72.9 for a +0.5 scoring margin. OU leads the Big 12 in three-point field goals made per game at 8.4 and is a solid free throw shooting team, ranking second in the Big 12 with a 73.5 percent. Sophomore guard Willie Warren leads Oklahoma in scoring at 16.3 points per game, which is ninth in the Big 12. He is second on the team with 86 assists for the season. Freshman guard Tommy Mason-Griffin is next in scoring at 14 points per game and he leads OU with 64 three-point field goals and 118 assists. His 4.5 assists per game are fourth in the conference.

The Ralphie Report's Take On OU/Colorado Tonight

The Sooners may be without two of their better players while the Buffs should be getting back F Marcus Relphorde after he missed the Kansas State game with a leg injury. This is most certainly a winnable game, especially at home where the Buffs have a 10 - 3 record. In all remaining games, Jeff Bzdelik's team will be counting heavily on G Alec Burks (16.8 ppg), G Cory Higgins (18.1 ppg) and F Marcus Relphorde (10.1 ppg) to carry the load. Strong offensive performances with minimal turnovers will be key to offset Colorado's struggles rebounding.

Double T Nation Previews Tonight's OU/Texas Tech Basketball Game

The Season Thus Far: It was just a couple of games ago that the Sooners were visiting Lubbock, without Willie Warren, and leaving with a 10 point loss. But the Sooners have been pretty good at home, beating Texas on Saturday, led by the impressive freshman guard Tommy Mason-Griffin (the guy can play, he's a ton of fun to watch). However, after Saturday's game, two Sooner freshmen, Andrew Fitzgerald and Steven Pledger, attempted to shoplift a couple of items and are in a bit of hot water. Fitzgerald and Pledger did contribute to the Sooners win on Saturday, but I would expect that both of these gentlemen will not be in the arena tonight.

Clone Chronicles Previews Tonight's OU/Iowa State Game

Depending on Gilstrap and Christopherson's status, we could see Colvin playing the 1, Buckley the 2, and DG the 3. I'm serious. Obviously when you're down to 8 guys, and have 2 questionable, you realize that we may be in for a long night.... 6 guys playing an entire game, one of which being a walk-on?..... I really hope that everyone on our team can play.
