NORMAN, Okla. -- February 19, 2008-- The OU Lacrosse team split another weekend with a victory against LSU and a loss to the Baylor Bears.

The Sooners played LSU in nasty weather conditions on Saturday afternoon.  OU started off strong, posting 5 points in the opening quarter.  They continued their hard play throughout, and fended off the Tigers as they threatened to close the gap in the final quarter.  Nine different Sooners scored throughout the contest.  Cory Euhus, and Ray Wilcox led with 3 goals apiece.  The final score was 14-10.

OU faced Baylor on Sunday, hoping to clinch their first ever win against the Bears.  On another cold and muddy day, the Sooners played tough, but fell a bit short.  OU goalie Connor Zwinggi was hard at work throughout the game, with 18 saves on the day.   OU started off strong, leading at halftime 8-7. They could not keep the pace in the second half, scoring only one goal.  Baylor went on to win the game 15-9.

The Sooners will see their next action this weekend down south as they face the University of North Texas Saturday at 1:00 p.m. and Southern Methodist University Sunday at 12:00 p.m.
