Why didn't Texas recruit him?
Nice balance, caught the long bomb too... but why didn't the Longhorns recruit this guy?

The Way I Understand It Is...
...That Mack Brown gave him a "now or never" offer as a junior and JC turned it down because he wanted to entertain more offers. Texas was never again in the picture after that.

texas amazes me sometimes
with all the big time running backs in texas, they haven't seem to had one since cedric benson...doesn't make any sense

academic liabilty
Supposedly Mack had recruited Calhoun early but red flags went up about his academic history; he had trouble making his grades.
Looks like he's gonna be a star though.
-this is from a longhorn fan btw.

R.J. Washington
He is a very underrated player. Could take some attention off of Austin English this year.
